Pa Harakeke at Orokonui

Next to the enclosed Ecosanctuary visitors will find the Pa Harakeke of Orokonui, a plantatio

n of one of New Zealands most special native plants the New Zealand flax.  The Pa Harakeke has been created by Te Korowai o Mihiwaka (Orokonui Ecosanctuary) and Kāti Huirapa Rūnaka ki Puketeraki (the local Iwi from Karitane) for all visitors to enjoy and is open access and freeof charge.
