The success of the Orokonui Ecosanctuary is largely due to the many members of the local community who have voluntarily given their time to the project. These volunteers constantly amaze us with their dedication and energy – our 180 registered volunteers contribute a total of 900 hours each month from professionals working pro-bono to those hand weeding. If you would like to volunteer at the Ecosanctuary, we would appreciate your support.
Membership of the Ecosanctuary also makes a difference and we welcome donations and bequests. Sanctuaries cost a lot to run, so financial support is crucial.
We also welcome enquiries from organisations looking to sponsor or partner projects with environmental, social and economic benefits. We have a number of sponsorship and partnership opportunities which can provide highly visible acknowledgement of your business to at least 25,000 visitors a year.
If you’re looking for a gift with a difference – buy a fencepost at the Ecosanctuary. All proceeds go to protecting threatened species. Gift vouchers for these and for guided tours are available.
