REGULAR EVENTS
A group of (flax/ harakeke) weavers meet on the first Sunday of the
month at Orokonui Ecosanctuary. We work in the Pa (flax plantation) in
the morning and then weave in the afternoon.
From time to time classes have been arranged through LPHS adult
education for beginning weavers.
Sometimes the monthly weaving has a theme for example using whole
blades or making double whiri kete).
But always there is support, encouragement and suggestions to help
with weaving projects/ kete and shared kai.
